Our story begins in 1989, when a young woman arrived in Canada from Brazil to start a family. Over the years, she made Canada her home, putting down roots and building a community around her. But she found herself missing the taste of home. In 2018, her friend decided to close shop on her successful cafe in Parana, Brazil, and embark on the same journey to Canada. Like her friend, she also adjusted quickly but still felt a pull to the cuisine of her homeland. The two began getting together and making the dishes they missed most, feeding their family and friends the foods they grew up loving. Soon, friends and family members began requesting dishes for their events, some even offering to pay for the delectable delights! Out of this demand, Mr. Coxinha was born.
